Have you bought that second monitor yet?

By | June 5, 2009

I can tell you that out of all the new technology that I have introduced in my office in the past few years, the second monitor has made the biggest splash.  I tried it first, and then I got 2 more for a couple of my secretaries.   After a few days I pretended that I was going to take it away from them and they freaked out!  They love it.  I just bought 20 more from New Egg as paid about $100 per monitor with free shipping.  My secretary who has been doing what she does for more than 20 years cannot believe the difference a second monitor makes.  She says that it makes her much more efficient.  She was spending her days opening and closing windows to get her work done.  Now they stay open all the time and she no longer wastes time opening and closing windows.   Check out my previous blog post on dual monitors for more information.  Have a great weekend!

    Michael:
I read your blog about dual monitors and it sounded interesting. I ordered a 20 inch monitor from buy.com for $100, including shipping, on Monday. They delivered it this morning. Took less than 5 minutes to set up and configure for ‘extended desktop.’ You were right…a great efficiency enhancement!

BTW, I also just bought a Livescribe Pulse smartpen. If you know about this already, I don’t need to say anything. If you don’t, you should check it out at livescribe.com. What an incredible tool for deps and trial! It’s amazing AND easy to use. If you want me to do a presentation at the tech seminar in September, I will be happy to do so.

The dual monitor system changed my life! I could never go back to just 1 monitor. I highly recommend it!
